Assessment

Assessment depends on how you choose to study.

Classroom -There is an end-of-course assessment made up of 30 multi-format questions. There’s also a work-based risk assessment task to be completed within two weeks of the end of the course.

Online - You can start studying immediately. When the interactive exercises are completed you can start the assessment and risk assessment task. This must be completed within one year of registration.

How long is the IOSH Managing Safely course?

The duration of the IOSH Managing Safely course varies depending on what method of delivery you choose. For live online, in a classroom, and in your workplace delivery options, students complete the course work over 3-days and the assessment must be completed within two weeks of the end of the course.

For online e-delivery, students’ study in their own time and at their own pace. There is a limit of one-year access to the course.

Training centre course dates are subject to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Live Online courses may be added to replace training centre courses if the face to face versions are not able to run.

The three-day course is delivered in a well-equipped training centre.

Students are challenged to set up a new business and put in place the measures required to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees and others.Students are immersed in a realistic workplace scenario and are faced with a series of team challenges.

The student-centered nature of the exercise allows learners to draw on existing knowledge and instincts. The tutor acts as facilitator and adviser, rather than ‘lecturer’.
